FAQ

How is HBN different from other similar business networking groups?

Q1.

A:  We are a local business networking group with no international or franchising background. Therefore, we have unlimited room to improve from past experience. Our system is tailor-made to suit the culture and environment of Hong Kong which we know thoroughly. We believe in long-term relationship. We put “relationship” (to be “Happy”, as our name denotes) before business. Our joining fees and meeting fees are relatively low. Our meeting hours are extremely convenient to most busy Hong Kong people. Our meeting venue is unique, relaxed, interesting and ideal for business networking.

Q2.

What are “Amarone”, “Barolo”, "Chardonnay" and "Dolcetto"? Why name your chapters with these names?

A:   They are all grapes for making wines.

Amarone:

A typically rich Italian dry red wine made from the partially dried grapes of the Corvina (40% – 70%), Rondinella (20% – 40%) and Molinara (5% – 25%) varieties. The wine was assigned Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) status in December 1990. ....... The name Amarone, in Italian, literally means "the Great Bitter"; this was originally to distinguish it from the Recioto produced in the same region, which is sweeter in taste. [From wikipedia]

Barolo:

A red Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) wine produced in the northern Italian region of Piedmont. It is made from the Nebbiolo grape and is often described as one of Italy's greatest wines.[From wikipedia]

Chardonnay:

Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape variety used to make white wine. It originated in the Burgundy wineregion of eastern France but is now grown wherever wine is produced. Chardonnay is an important component of many sparkling wines around the world, including Champagne. [From wikipedia]

Dolcetto:

Dolcetto is a black Italian wine grape variety widely grown in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. The Italian worddolcetto means "little sweet one". They can be tannic and fruity with moderate, or decidedly low, levels of acidity and are typically meant to be consumed one to two years after release. [From wikipedia]

Our chapters are named from A to Z in sequence and each name is a kind of grapes. Most people like grapes because it makes you think of wine which in turn link to joy and happiness. We want to conduct our business in a happy environment.
